A chase tender is a second boat that follows the yacht rather than living on it, and thirty nine yachts in our charter fleet run one. The group has a median length of fifty four metres and a median weekly rate of two hundred and eighty thousand euros.
The logic is space. A large sports boat takes up garage volume that could otherwise be beach club, so it travels independently with its own crew and meets the yacht at each anchorage. That gives you a fast boat for skiing, diving and shore runs without giving up the transom. Thirty eight of these yachts are motor and one is sailing. Benetti and Sanlorenzo lead with five each, followed by Amels with four, and the group includes Sunrays, Arbema and Talisman C.
Rates run from fifty five thousand euros a week to one million one hundred and fifty thousand. An advance provisioning allowance of around thirty percent covers fuel, food, berthing and drinks. A chase boat carries its own fuel, berthing and crew costs, so confirm whether it is inside the rate or charged separately, because practice varies.
