Sailing yachts and diving make a natural pair. A sailing yacht travels quietly under wind power, approaching anchorages without the engine noise that displaces marine life. When she drops anchor in a sheltered bay, the diving equipment is lowered from the stern platform and guests step straight into water that has not been churned by propellers. The result is clearer visibility and a calmer start to every dive.
Our charter fleet carries sixteen sailing yachts equipped for diving, ranging from the twenty seven metre Icarus to the eighty eight metre Maltese Falcon. Most carry compressors and full scuba sets for certified divers, while several also stock snorkelling gear and freediving equipment for guests who prefer the surface. Crew on the larger yachts typically include a dive guide who knows the local sites.
Weekly rates run from forty one thousand euros for Icarus to four hundred and ninety thousand for Maltese Falcon, with the core of the fleet between sixty five thousand and two hundred and ten thousand. Add roughly thirty percent for the advance provisioning allowance, which covers fuel, food, berthing, drinks and the operational costs of the dive gear.
The Mediterranean in summer opens up the Aeolian Islands, the Turkish coast, Corsica and the marine reserves of Croatia, all waters where sailing conditions and dive sites overlap. In winter, several yachts reposition to the Caribbean and Southeast Asia, where warm water, coral reefs and year-round visibility make diving a daily fixture.
