Gocek Bay is the sheltered northern arm of the Fethiye Gulf, a deep-water inlet punctuated by 12 named islands and countless unnamed anchorages. The bay protected status as a special environmental area limits commercial development on its shores, which means motor yachts operating here anchor off pine-fringed beaches and ruined quaysides rather than marinas and resort hotels. This is among the most consistently booked cruising areas on the Turkish coast: it combines reliable shelter from the meltemi, exceptional water clarity and enough variety to fill a full week without leaving the bay.
