A pool only really becomes a pool at around sixty metres. Below that the fitting is usually a jacuzzi with ambition. Twenty two of the eighty two yachts in our sixty metre charter fleet carry one, and on most of them it sits on the sun deck or the main aft deck with enough length to swim a few strokes and enough depth to stand in.
The group is broad. Silver Angel, Soundwave and St David come from Benetti, Halo from Feadship, Lady Kathryn V from Lurssen, Treehouse and Ludzie from Oceanco, and Roma from VSY. Almost all take twelve guests across six or seven cabins. Beyond the pool, eighteen carry a gym, fourteen have a beach club, eleven a cinema, and Amigos, Geco, Halo, Raja and QU2 add a helipad.
Weekly rates run from two hundred and eighty thousand euros for Holdin’ My Own to six hundred and twenty thousand for QU2, with the median at three hundred and eighty thousand. Eighteen of the twenty two charter between two hundred and eighty and four hundred and fifty thousand. Add an advance provisioning allowance of roughly thirty percent covering fuel, food, berthing and drinks.
Most of this fleet splits the year, Mediterranean from May and Caribbean from December. A pool changes how a week at anchor feels, particularly with children aboard. Tell us your dates and we will shortlist what is open.
