Twelve guest sailing yachts represent the upper tier of the world’s wind-powered charter fleet. The regulatory ceiling of twelve guests overnight applies equally to sail and motor, but the engineering involved in combining twelve-guest accommodation with a functional sailing rig produces a very different kind of vessel. Hulls tend to be longer, interior volumes are shaped around deep keels and mast structures, and the result is often a yacht that feels more like a private ship than a floating villa.
Nineteen sailing yachts in our fleet carry twelve guests, ranging from thirty six metres to one hundred and six metres. Perini Navi accounts for the largest single group, with seven hulls between forty six and eighty eight metres, each built around the yard’s automated sail-handling system that allows a small crew to manage enormous rigs. Alongside them sit traditional phinisis, modern performance cruisers from Alloy Yachts, and the landmark Oceanco Black Pearl.
Weekly rates open at twenty seven thousand euros for Tosca, a thirty six metre ketch, and run through a broad band between seventy five thousand and two hundred and forty five thousand euros for the Perini Navi fleet. Above that, Vertigo at three hundred and sixty thousand and Maltese Falcon at four hundred and ninety thousand deliver volumes and performance closer to a superyacht. Black Pearl sits at eight hundred and thirty thousand. Add approximately thirty percent for the advance provisioning allowance.
