Six cabins is the configuration that suits six couples, and it is a more specific requirement than a guest number alone can express. A yacht advertised for twelve guests may achieve that across five cabins with a pullman berth, which works well for a family and considerably less well when every guest is paying an equal share and expects an equal room.
Our six cabin charter fleet begins around thirty five metres and extends well past seventy. At the smaller end, six cabins means efficient use of the lower deck and cabins of broadly similar size, often four doubles and two twins with the master on the main deck above. Above fifty metres the picture changes, with a full-beam master, a VIP that rivals it, and four further cabins that are genuinely comparable to each other rather than obviously ranked.
Rates run from roughly ninety thousand euros a week to beyond six hundred thousand, plus an advance provisioning allowance near thirty percent. The premium over a five cabin yacht of similar length is real, because that sixth cabin consumes volume that would otherwise be crew space, storage or beach club.
Ask two questions of any six cabin layout. Are the cabins genuinely equivalent in size and light, and can any of them convert between double and twin. The answers determine whether your group divides the yacht happily or spends the week comparing rooms.
